April 22 the world celebrates the Earth Day. The idea of this festival belongs D.Sterlingu Morton from Nebraska state. It encourages people to be more attentive to the fragile and vulnerable environment of our planet That also  helps to preserve the beauty of nature.

You are kindly invited to participate at the  City Exhibition of Artistic Creative  Works named "Earth Day”. This event  was the initiative of the American Corner at  Karaganda regional research library  named  after  N. Gogol and the Children's Art School № 1.

"Earth Day" exhibition is devoted to an annual holiday called "Earth Day" in the United States and celebrated on April 22.

On February 12, a group of students from Nazarbayev intellectual school were the guest of Regional research library named after N.V. Gogol. They were eager to get acquainted with Library services, Electronic catalogue, Gogol library book collection and visited Information-bibliographic department. To highlight Martin Luther King Jr.’s Legacy, the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy Astana is pleased to announce an on-line contest. This contest offers the young students of Kazakhstan the opportunity to learn about and expand their understanding of Civil Rights in the United States through learning and engagement activities.

On November 12 International book department  organized a round table. The theme of the event was

“N. Nazarbayev the Founder of Sovereign Kazakhstan”. (Н.Ә. Назарбаев - Тәуелсіз мемлекеттің негізін Қалаушы). There were about 15 English speaking users of the library. We prepared a  nice book exhibition.
