April 22 the world celebrates the Earth Day. The idea of this festival belongs D.Sterlingu Morton from Nebraska state. It encourages people to be more attentive to the fragile and vulnerable environment of our planet That also helps to preserve the beauty of nature.
On April 16, American corner staff at Gogol library organized Children's art exhibition "Табиғат алтын бесік" "Earth Day".
More than sixty students from different high schools prepared works to the event.
Through their drawings children try to solve environmental problems. You can see works depicting a snow leopard, local steppe antelope - saiga , and other rare animals.
This year American corner also offered an additional theme, "Америка алыс болып көрінгенімен жақын", “America is closer than it seems”. That helped young artists to find similarities in culture between the two nations.
