On February 7 there was a meeting with AC users at our Speaking Club. The topic is: "Қайырымдылық - қайтарымы бар қасиет" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of birth of S.A. Nazarbayeva. Sara Alpyskyzy Nazarbayeva (born 12 February 1941, in Kzyl-Zhar, Kazakhstan) is the First Lady of Kazakhstan and wife of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Sara Nazarbayeva is the President of “Bobek”, Children's Foundation, which she founded in 1992 soon after the country became independent. She created “Bobek” to help mother and child care, provide supervision of foundling homes and orphanages, provide equipment and supplies to schools, aid gifted children from low-income families, and to assist the child health care system.
Today, "Bobek" is the most active charitable foundation of the republic, which was recognized not only in Kazakhstan but also abroad. There are hundreds and thousands of charitable campaigns, assistance to orphans and disabled people, support for mothers in the activities of the Fund.
In 1997 she launched the first National Children's Rehabilitation Center and the "SOS Children's Villages of Kazakhstan" which are family villages for orphans. These consist of several houses built together in a group where many children live in one house with several caretakers.
For outstanding achievements in the field of charity and mercy Sara Nazarbayeva won many awards of international organizations. Significant among them are the Ihsan Doğramacı International Prize of the World Health Organization. She was awarded the Chingiz Aitmatov Gold Medal "For a Outstanding Contribution to the Philosophy of Self-Knowledge".From the hands of Sophia Loren Sara Nazarbayeva got an international award "Golden Heart", established by the Red Cross of Russia and is awarded for long-term activities aimed at supporting the younger generation.In 2010 she has been awarded the "Gold Ring" of International Fund SOS Kinderdorf International, which is given to women who have devoted their lives to children from children's villages SOS Kinderdorf.
It was very informative and interesting discussion to our participants. There was book exhibition, where they found her books, articles about her work and pictures. Also patrons got acquainted with poem “Aна” devoted to S.A. Nazarbayeva, which was written by Gulsim Seilzhanova.
