On February 29, 2020, the first environmental seminar «Let's save the world» was held at the library on the basis of the American Corner. The participants of the seminar were 28 people: tutors and teachers of specialized subjects (biology, geography, chemistry, ecology) of secondary schools, as well as students of colleges and universities of the city.

The purpose of the seminar is to improve the skills in environmental protection, as well as to improve practical skills and use the knowledge gained in the course of the further professional activities.

The seminar was hosted by Damir Karimov, a practicing eco-trainer, a healthy lifestyle coach with 8 years of experience.

During the seminar, participants learned the basics of eco-friendly life, such as:

- saving energy and rational use of natural resources,

- collection, sorting and recycling of garbage by category,

- about the dangers of household chemicals and plastic,

- how easy it is to learn to consume things wisely without harming the environment.

At the end of the seminar, all participants receive additional materials in electronic form for further professional self-development, as well as homework in the form of practical implementation of the knowledge gained during the seminar. In May 2020, 2 people from each participating city who completed their homework most successfully will be invited to Nur-Sultan to participate in the final training seminar with the award of the title "Ambassador of environmental culture".
