Karaganda RURL

On March 29, the American Corner Karaganda in cooperation with the City department of education conducted the first part of the “Best Lesson Plan” contest among local teachers of English language with the theme “Language through Culture.” The Contest takes place with the support of the US Embassy’s grant “Spirit of Volunteering at the American Corners in Kazakhstan – America is Closer than It Seems.”

During the preparation for the contest, the local ESL teachers actively used the AC resources on country studies and new methods of English teaching as well as the Virtual Library and American English Online resources.

The best lesson plans will be issued as a separate CD tool to help regional ESL teachers to learn from the best.
