On March 04,  Annah Trunick (ELF) was a moderator of an Educational seminar "Kinesthetic Activities for Teaching Grammar in the EFL Classroom". As participants local English language teachers played a lot of games and were very active while creating "Conversation Chain Interviews", " Empty Boxes Activity".(Objective: To practice showing and not just telling in your writing). The most fun was connected with activity "Misplaced and Dangling Modifiers".(  Objective: To heighten student awareness of the unintended meaning of misplaced and dangling modifiers).

Examples of Modifier Errors

1. While walking down the street, my ice cream fell out of the cone.(wrong).
   While I was walking down the street, my ice cream fell out of the cone.(right)
2. The man ran into a moose on a motorcycle crossing the highway.(wrong).
   The man on a motorcycle ran into a moose crossing the highway. (right)
3. Having been eaten by tomato worms, Dan put insecticide spray on the tomato plants. (wrong).
   Dan put insecticide spray on the tomato plants that had been eaten by tomato worms. (right)

Games...Foster interaction, cooperation, cohesiveness. Provide meaningful contexts for language use allow for practice for all language skills.Create an atmosphere conducive to language acquisition.
