Karaganda RURL

On the 31 of January, the American Corner Karaganda welcomed Martin Ryan, Vice consul and Ulan Akhmetov, Consular assistant from the U.S. Embassy Astana. The Embassy guests talked to some 50 AC patrons about an important visa issuing theme.

The AC staff invited college and university students using social media, the AC's Facebook. Students were excited to ask about visas for English language learning courses and USG-programs, as well as about tourist visas and were pleased to receive very detailed replies.

Also, we used the chance to ask the American diplomat to hand the certificates for the winners of the translation contest launched by the US Embassy under the auspices of the national project "One Country – One Book."

The library Director Dina Amanzholova thanked the US Embassy for the on–going fruitful cooperation and support and expressed her wish to continue the American Corner partnership in the future.
