Karaganda RURL

On 15-20 November was International Education Week at our American Corner Karaganda. IEW is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. On 15th November our AC users have discussed education programs at our Speaking club. Olga Volkova told them about  education programs such as UGRAD, FLEX. They spoke about their dream university and where they want to study. It was interesting and useful information for everybody. On 16th November was held book exhibition.

On 17th November  was a meeting with the head of Educational  Advising Center Bilim Central Asia – Bekishev Askar. EC “Bilim-CA” is an associated member of the international network of education advising centers (Education USA), and its status was approved by the US Department of State.

We invited pupils from school №52 and school named after N. Nurmakov. Our guest gave them detailed information about  education and exchange programs in U.S.A. and Europe. Askar Bukenovich shared with his experience. Participants also got information about EC “Bilim – CA”, and that they can get free consultations here about all educational programs, IELTS, SAT preparation courses, and improve English language at speaking club. It was very informative and interesting for our pupils.

On 18^th  November Nazym Sailauova AC stuff  made a presentation of E-library research. She explained how to use it for our visitors. Nazym showed different databases and sources. Here they can read articles, magazines, books  and download them. They have free access for it only in our Karaganda Regional Universal Research Library named after N.V.Gogol.
