Summer activities was the topic on the 19th of July English speaking club with CC Program Alumna –Olga Volkova. How to spend the summer time? What activities to do to organize your summer vacation the best way? It was the main questions that were discussed on.

Summer is finally upon us. It’s an exciting time; the kids are out of school, the weather is nice, and we feel inspired to have some fun and let loose. Many of us like to spend the summer making travel plans and going to exciting places with friends and family. While the idea of traveling somewhere new can be exciting, it can also be a stressful endeavor.

Know what you want. Indecision can be the root of all anxiety when planning a summer excursion. Get clear on what you want, what you’re willing to spend your time and money doing, and with whom you’re willing to spend that time with. When you’re in alignment with your wants and desires, the rest of your planning will come easily.

Be organized. Once you have a clear view of what you’d like your trip to look like, do the proper research to find out everything you’ll need for your vacation.

Be prepared. Think ahead and make a list of all the items you’ll need ahead of time. There’s nothing worse than scrambling the day before a trip trying to find the proper items you need.

Let go of the small stuff. Life isn’t perfect; so don’t sweat about little bumps in the way. Sometimes these detours can end up bringing the most joy in life! Detach from your “ideal” outcome and allow life to flow.

Be present. We spend so much time worrying about our vacations being perfect; worrying about if everyone is happy and having a good time. By being fully present to each moment you can ensure happiness and joy throughout your time away.

Be open. Allow yourself to be receptive to new people, cultures, and places. Be open to learning and accepting that life has brought you to this place in this moment for a reason.
