The topic of  Sunday Speaking club was  "Toktar  Aubakirov’s  Jubilee".

Toktar Ongarbayuly Aubakirov  is a retired Kazakh Air Force officer and a former cosmonaut. His 70-year anniversary  Kazakhstan cosmonaut  met on dear land in Karkaralinsk, to the meeting with national hero region prepared in advance. As it happens  his 70-year anniversary and the 25th anniversary of his first space expedition Toktar Aubakirov notes at the same time.

Toktar Aubakirov  was born on July 27, 1946, in Karkaraly district , Karaganda region, Kazakh SSR, which is now Kazakhstan.

Aubakirov spent over eight days in space on a single spaceflight. In 1991, Aubakirov flew aboard Soyuz TM-13. He did experiments for Kazakhstan. He  was the first Soviet citizen to go into space without actually being certified as a cosmonaut. AC users got a lot of information about his life, career, space expedition, etc. There was a book exhibition full of books, articles about him, about space and other astronauts. Every AC user could find essential information here. By Jigsaw reading participants knew many interesting facts of his life and expedition. They knew that  First Kazakh Astronaut  dreamed to be cosmonaut at his childhood. Hereupon they were asked to speak about their childhood  dream profession. It was very interesting , because some of them achieved their aim, for some people it was just infant dream. Impressive and informative discussion was at our corner.

Also worth noting is that in honor of the Toktar Aubakirov’s first flight into space, this year  was inaugurated Stela which was a gift from Karaganda architect Bulat Muhametdiev to the  astronaut and the Kazakh people. The name of Stela is "Uly Dala eli, Sary-Arkadan garyshka".
